Privacy Policy for Aura Pin Studio

Thank you for using Aura Pin Studio, a desktop application developed by Abdul Rehman (AuraWriter.cloud).
Your privacy is extremely important to us. This document explains what data we collect, how it is used, how it is stored, and your rights regarding your information.

Aura Pin Studio is a local desktop application, meaning your data stays on your own device unless required to communicate with third-party APIs with your explicit authorization.

1. Overview

Aura Pin Studio allows you to:

  • Create and manage Pinterest boards
  • Upload pins using the official Pinterest API
  • Generate AI titles and descriptions using your personal OpenAI API key
  • Organize project folders and track upload progress locally on your computer

We never collect or store personal data on our servers.

2. Information We Collect

Aura Pin Studio does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) automatically.

The app only handles the following data locally on your device:

2.1. Project Data (Local Storage Only)

  • Board names
  • Image folder paths
  • Completed folder paths
  • Titles, descriptions, URLs for pins
  • Upload progress per board or project

None of this is sent to any external server.

2.2. Pinterest Account Data

When you connect your Pinterest account, the Pinterest API provides:

  • Access token
  • Pinterest username
  • Board list & board IDs (to perform uploads)

This data is stored ONLY on your local device
and is never transmitted to Aura Writer servers or any third-party service.

Pinterest API is used exactly as required for uploading pins and creating boards — nothing more.

3. OpenAI API Key Usage

Aura Pin Studio uses your personal OpenAI API key, provided manually inside the app.

Important notes:

  • The key is stored locally on your computer, encrypted.
  • It is never transmitted to AuraWriter.cloud or any server owned by the developer.
  • The key is only used for generating:
    • Titles
    • Descriptions
    • Board metadata

Your input text (filenames, descriptions) is sent to OpenAI only when you click generate, as required per their API usage terms.

4. How Your Pinterest Data Is Used

According to Pinterest API requirements, we:

✔ Use your Pinterest access token only for
creating boards, uploading pins, and retrieving your boards.

✔ Do NOT:

  • Share your Pinterest data with any third party
  • Store Pinterest data on any server
  • Use Pinterest data for advertising
  • Use Pinterest data for analytics
  • Sell Pinterest data
  • Track users inside or outside the app
  • Access any Pinterest information not required for uploading pins

All data remains only inside the app environment on your device.

5. Permissions Required by the App

Aura Pin Studio requires:

✔ Local file access

To read image folders and manage completed images.

✔ Pinterest API access

To upload pins and create boards on your behalf.

✔ Internet access

Required to communicate with Pinterest API and OpenAI API.

The app does not run any background services or hidden tracking.

6. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

Aura Pin Studio interacts with the following services only when required:

Pinterest Developer API

Purpose:

  • Authenticate user
  • Create boards
  • Upload pins

Data sent:

  • Images you select
  • Titles, descriptions, and URLs entered by you

All interactions comply with Pinterest API Terms of Service.

OpenAI API

Purpose:

  • Generate content (titles, descriptions)

Data sent:

  • Text prompts you provide

No other data is shared.

7. Data Security

We take your privacy seriously:

  • All keys are stored locally and encrypted.
  • No remote storage or cloud database is used.
  • No analytics or tracking tools are integrated.
  • No user behavior data is collected.

You remain in full control of your data at all times.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

✔ Remove your OpenAI API key any time
✔ Disconnect your Pinterest account any time
✔ Delete local project files
✔ Choose which folders or boards you attach
✔ Stop using the application without any data being retained externally

Because Aura Pin Studio does not store data on its own servers, all privacy rights apply locally on your own machine.

9. Children’s Privacy

Aura Pin Studio is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically.
